Static Trails makes shoegaze for grown-ups who still remember being kids.

The sound is a warm wall of fuzz and reverb with the voice sunk somewhere inside it. Sometimes it drifts. Sometimes it breaks open into one scream and then settles again. It never stays dark for long. Every record ends somewhere warmer than it started.

The songs are about ordinary things. A coat you put on every morning. A voicemail you never delete. Pencil marks on a doorframe. Light through a window at the end of the day. Underneath all of them is one idea: the face you wear for the world and the person under it are both you, and the second one deserves some air.

There's no face here on purpose. Just a figure seen from behind, facing whatever comes next.
